ACIF Awards 2008 Scholarships

On Friday, November 2, 2007, the Alabama Concrete Industries Foundation awarded its two $8,000 scholarships. This year’s winners were Kacie Holmes and Milton Baker. Ms. Holmes and Mr. Baker are enrolled in civil engineering at the University of Alabama Birmingham.

The scholarships were presented by John Sorrell during the Associated Builders and Contractors Awards in Excellence ceremony. The annual event was attended by over 800 individuals currently involved with the construction industry in Alabama.

The ACIF awards two scholarships per year to students enrolled in building science, architecture, or engineering at one of the state’s universities. The scholarships are funded by a bi-annual golf tournament and by contributions from ACIA member companies.
