ACI Strength Training

Schedule

This is a one day only program that will consist of classroom review followed by a written test and hands on performance test.

8:00 am – 5:00 pm Classroom review

Books
The manual for strength training is the ACI Strength Training Manual.

What do you need for class?
Students will need to bring their book, pen and pencil, and calculator.

Clothing
Work clothes are needed for hands on performance exam.

American's With Disabilities Act Policy
Performing the performance section of the ACI exams requires physical activity. If you cannot perform the test due to a disability, you must submit documentation supporting your ADA claim by a doctor. This information must be provided to the Alabama Concrete Industries Association at least two weeks in advance. The Alabama Concrete Industries Assocaition will then forward this information to the American Concrete Institute for an approval process and a remedy to meet the performance exam requirements.

Individuals with temporary injuries are not covered under the ADA. They should reschedule for a future exam session and are required to provide a Doctor’s note clearing them for participation.

Overview
Concrete Strength Testing Level I is an eight hour course which covers the following ASTM standards: C39, C78, C617, and C123.
