This is a one and a half day class.

Day 1
8:00 am – 4:30 pm Classroom review
Day 2
8:00 am – 10:00 am Classroom review
10:00 am – 12:00 pm Written test

Books
This class will utilize the Alabama Department of Transportation Concrete Technology Workbook and Concrete Technology Manual.

What do you need for class?
Students will need their manual, a pencil, and calculator in class.

Overview
Concrete Technology is a two and a half day course which addresses regulations of concrete as required by the state. Successful completion will enable a concrete technician to perform mixing of sand, gravel, cement and water used to make the concrete. After successful completion of this class, state employees will also be qualified to run testing procedures to determine the quality of the concrete. There is a written exam for this certification.

Passage
A student must make a 75 or above to pass the test.

Failure of a test
A student must wait ninety days before retaking the test.
